Facility Technician I

Job Description:
The Facility Technician I reports directly to the Plant Foreman or Operations Supervisor and performs hands-on operations such as drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm operations, and offloading vans.

The essential elements of the position include, but are not limited to, the following.

This is a Union Position with Teamsters Local 117 - Pay is $23.11 per hour.

Schedule is M-F, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Responsibilities:
Basic Operations:

Drum movement

Drum opening

Tank farm truck loading/unloading in compliance with DOT segregation requirements

Waste consolidation

Compactor operations

Proper inventory warehousing

Forklift Operation:

Operates a forklift when necessary

Responsible for performing and documenting daily safety checks prior to operating

Waste Tracking:

Completes and submits all associated paperwork as required for waste tracking movements

Able to use scanning application for dumping and pumping

Health and Safety:

Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures

SOP Reviews:

Reviews all applicable SOP's and satisfactorily completes quizzes

Permit Compliance:

Ensures, understands, and has ownership for area-specific permit-required compliance standards

Production Goals:

Meets or exceeds production goals

Work Environment:

Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment

Other Duties:

Performs other assignments as assigned by management
