Position Overview
The Assistant Athletic Coach will support the Head Athletic Coach in the development and execution of athletic programs.

This role is critical in fostering the physical, emotional, and social development of student-athletes.

The Assistant Coach will help create a positive and competitive environment emphasizing skill development, teamwork, and respect for the game.
Duties & Responsibilities


* Skill Instruction: Assist in instructing and demonstrating skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team achievement across practices and games.


* Training Program Development: Collaborate with the Head Coach to develop appropriate training programs and practice schedules to optimize athlete performance.


* Game Strategy Implementation: Participate in creating and executing game/meet strategies, emphasizing technical fundamentals and tactical understanding.


* Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper cleaning, storage, and maintenance of all athletic equipment and uniforms.

Maintain updated inventories of all equipment.


* Record Keeping: Maintain necessary records related to student-athlete attendance and performance and complete required paperwork in a timely manner.


* Medical Compliance: Ensure that all required medical forms are obtained and current for each student athlete.


* Supervision: Supervise student-athletes during home and away games, practices, and other team activities to ensure appropriate behavior and sportsmanship.


* Reporting: Submit completed injury reports to the Athletic Director, School Leader, and School Nurse promptly following any incidents.


* Communication: Communicate and collaborate effectively with the families of student-athletes, providing updates and addressing concerns.


* Policy Enforcement: Enforce all school policies during practices and games, both at home and while traveling.
