PSI, an Intertek company, is searching for 2025 Summer Co-Op / Internship - Construction Technicians to join our Building & Constructionteam in our Lansing, MI office.

The Construction Intern role performs a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under direct supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.

Successful Co-op/Intern Candidates will be pursuing a Summer Internship/semester co-op who are in the process of completing a Bachelor's Degree in the Sciences, Mathematics, Construction Management, Engineering, or Geology fields.

The Building & Construction team provides assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services and building science solutions to deliver Total Quality Assurance to the built environment.

The team offers the architectural, engineering and construction (A/E/C) industry with a full suite of capabilities both in the lab and on site.

Understanding how to determine the quality of materials is a valuable skill for anyone involved in engineering, architecture, or construction.

* Compaction Testing of Engineered Fill


* Density Control of Hot Mix Asphalt


* Sampling and Testing Masonry Grout and Mortar


* Compression Testing of Concrete Specimens


* Laboratory Testing of Soils, aggregates and Hot Mix Asphalt

What it takes to be successful in this role:
