Physical Therapy Assistant Full-Time

Louisville East Post Acute is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant

Pay Range $28 - $35 / 30-40 hours per week

As a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant with Louisville East Post Acute, your responsibilities include assisting PT's with Resident treatments throughout the facility in our Pathways TBI, Sub acute Rehab and LTC Units.

The PTA is responsible with observing regulations that govern our facility and as assigned by our Director of Therapy to ensure that the highest degree of quality Resident care is maintained at all times.

Essential Job Duties: Treat patients as directed by Physical Therapist.

Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per PT Board.

Assist in maintaining department.

Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences, as needed.

Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area.

Treat patients per the physician treatment plan.

Assist nursing department with training of Restorative Aides.

Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problem and plans.

Participate in in services training program for other staff in the facility.

Record treatment changes per policy and procedures.

Instruct patient's families or nursing staff in maintenance program and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services.

Report any problems with department equipment so that it is maintained in good working order.

Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients/residents, families, staff and professional colleagues.

Supervisory Requirements The position is not a supervisory position.

Qualification Education and/or Experience Licensed as a Staff Physical Therapy Assistant Board of the States.

Proficient in computer skills such as inputting data into programs such as Casamba and Point Click Care.

Language Skills Ability to read technical procedures.

Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.
