Controls Engineer

For this U.S.

based position, the expected compensation range is $95,000 - $122,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States.

Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level.

Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Controls Engineer Details

The Controls Engineer designs systems of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls for machines and equipment, utilizing knowledge of electrical engineering, PLC programming, and diagrams and schematics.

This position supports the development of new products, pre-sale technical support, product application inquiries, and quality control.

Duties and Responsibilities


* Provide guidance and direction for the electrical and controls engineering team.


* Plan and program logic control systems for functions such as sequence, temperature, pressure, flow, voltage, current, and timing.


* Illustrate and describe the concept, installation, and maintenance details of component functionality and system sequence of operation.


* Review schematics with customers to answer questions during pre- and post-sale of products.


* Confer with assemblers and wirers to resolve problems regarding the building of control systems.


* Prepare all documentation necessary for production and customer support (proposals, quotes, drawings, BOM, schematics, manuals, technical instructions, etc.).


* Work with suppliers and outside engineering consultants to resolve technical and supply issues, improve system features and capabilities, and investigate sources of special equipment, materials, or devices.

Obtain quotes, prepare requisitions, and qualify supplier components.


* Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications


* Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering preferred.


* Working knowledge of HVAC control systems and communication protocols preferred.
