About the role:
At Vantage, the VP Property underwriting will be a critical member of our Large Property team.
The mission of the team is to add creativity to tech-enabled efficiency and robust analytics to address risks others avoid.
This role will be responsible for underwriting new and renewal business in accordance with the Large Property portfolio development strategy and underwriting guidelines.
The ideal candidate for this position possesses extensive knowledge of complex property risks, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record of success in driving profitable growth.
This role reports to the SVP, Head of Large Property, and is a flexible, hybrid opportunity based in proximity to one of Vantage’s office locations.
Preferred offices are Chicago, IL, Atlanta, GA, New York, NY, Norwalk, CT, West Hartford, CT, and Boston, MA.
The base salary expectation for this role is between $195,000 and $250,000.
The actual base salary for the selected candidate may be higher, commensurate with the candidate's commercial property experience and location of employment.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
* Building and underwriting a diverse and profitable book of middle market and corporate property business.
* Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with appointed brokers.
* Applying rigorous risk selection and assessment standards and implementing pricing methodologies that support Large Property strategic objectives and financial plans.
* Effectively working with Vantage’s Actuarial, Claims, CAT Modelling, Data & Analytics, Operations, Finance teams.
* Collaborating and corresponding with internal and external contacts to achieve outstanding client service.
