* Give presentations and work collaboratively with the simulation group at Oklahoma State University
* Disseminate research by writing journal articles and giving talks at the national conferences

About the Role
Our Pinjarra Refinery has an open vacancy for a Chemical Services Manager working on a Monday to Friday roster.
As the Chemical Services Manager you will be accountable to the Technical Manager for the provision of routine and project chemical services and Bayer process expertise for the Laboratory, Refinery, Mining & Marketing groups.
You will lead and develop the Laboratory team to safely and efficiently deliver all aspects of laboratory operations.
You will have specific accountability for SGA product quality from Pinjarra Refinery and have a working knowledge and provide technical input into the Month End Inventory Process.
Other duties include
* Contribution in improving analytical services and cross-site (WAO and Global) standardisation of methods
* Conducts Laboratory and Refinery based investigative and improvement projects with Technical, CoE and Operational personnel.
* Adept at Statistical Experimental Design and Evaluation.
* Troubleshooting and guidance to the Laboratory team and Technical department.
* Provides deep technical insight into Bayer process chemistry and laboratory analytical processes.

* Tertiary qualification and validated experience in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry and alumina plant operation.

* Capable to lead a team of technical people on a major plant project, and at the same time take a leading role in the day-to-day optimization of plant performance.
