Job Summary
The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) is primarily responsible in association with the attending physician(s), for management of the high-risk newborn and infants.
NNP provides comprehensive direct patient care for high-risk newborns and infants with life threatening or high acuity conditions that require constant monitoring.
Responsibilities include completing history and physical examinations, ordering and interpreting radiographic and laboratory test, diagnosing illness, documenting patient care services with EMR, and performing procedures within the NNP's scope of practice and demonstrated competency.
