		  			The Transportation and Maintenance Assistant provides transportation services to residents for activities or scheduled appointments, as well as provides general maintenance support to the team as needed.
A successful candidate will be available to work 7:00 am-11:00 am, Monday-Friday, and will be open to a wage of $15.00-16.00 per hour.
This position directly reports to the Maintenance Director.
Essential Duties
• Assists residents with loading and unloading from community-approved vehicles.
• Ensures the safe transportation of residents to scheduled appointments or other approved activities, resident outings, etc.
• Maintains the interior and exterior of community vehicles to promote safe and comfortable transport for the residents and project a positive image in the community.
• Monitors vehicle maintenance logs and delivers vehicles for regularly scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, etc.
• Must have training and be able to return demonstrate safe clinical based transfer techniques for:
• Ingress/Egress of mobile residents with vehicle, if applicable, transfer of residents into and out of wheelchairs, properly securing residents wheelchairs into bays in vehicle.
• Serve as a member of the maintenance staff completing tasks in and around the community as needed.

Not more than 2 moving violations in 3 years.
Not more than one accident in 3 years.
