POSITION PURPOSE
A shop hourly position with the primary responsibilities of directing the activities of assigned Assembly personnel to accomplish both daily production goals and long-term projects as assigned by Team Leader. As a fully engaged servant leader, the Shift Leader has ownership for the execution of the department’s strategy and goals, and demonstrates BAC’s values of Earning Trust, Embracing Responsibility, Showing Courage, and Driving Innovation.
Ensures all mechanics are properly trained and performing according to BAC’s safety, production, and quality standards and guidelines. Promote open communication and ensure all necessary information and clarification are provided to employees in a timely manner. The purpose for every position at BAC regardless of department or level can be summed up as doing the right thing in the right way.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Onboarding of new team members including assigning Buddy & Mentor and weekly follow-up.
* Assist with the completion of detailed accident investigation reports.
* Attuned to Daily and Weekly Production Schedule and take independent action to ensure resources, materials, and information are available to the mechanics.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
Fork Lift Operator, is responsible for mainly “Winders” in the area transporting finished product in a safe and timely manner maintaining our production schedule without damaging product, the banding, or packaging of the finished goods, additional responsibilities include: removing scrap, and assisting in Material Handling throughout the plant as needed.
1st Shift
* Monday-Friday: 6am-2pm
* Occasional Saturday work
Key Responsibilities
* Operate lift truck in safe and efficient manner
* Responsible for keeping warehouse areas clean and organized
* Following all plant safety rules, “Halo Rule” wearing proper PPE at all times
* Must be able to solve problems under pressure
* Work overtime as needed
* Be able to identify and segregate non-conforming raw materials prior to use
* Ensure finished product is packaged to customer specification, stored in a safe manner that will prevent damage
* Accurately fill out reports (scrap sheets & maintenance logs) on a daily basis.
* Be able to read engineering sheets, and make suggestions for improvement.
* Perform regular maintenance and preventative maintenance of lift truck using safe practices and procedures
