Position Overview
This is a 1:1 position: you care for one student throughout the school day.
It is not a health-room school nurse role.
Same student, same school, every day, so you build a real working relationship with your student, her family, and the school team.
You will ride along with your student on school-provided transportation.
Nurses do not transport students.
You are never responsible for driving a student in your own vehicle.
The Assignment
Elementary-age girl, ride along.
Your student walks on her own, eats by mouth, is continent, and communicates verbally.
Care is guided by the student's individual care plan and includes:
• Seizure monitoring
• Asthma monitoring
• Behavior monitoring and redirection
• Documenting care on a tablet
