What You'll Be Doing


* You will be inspecting, cleaning, sorting, resizing, and weighing recycled metals "revert" to prepare for the melting process


* Operate basic equipment (grinders, analyzers, cut-off saws) after training


* Record weights, batch data, and traceability information


* Organize, stage, label, and prepare materials for furnace charging


* Assist furnace operators by safely delivering charge materials


* Safely operate cranes, hoists, and forklifts (training provided)


* Follow SOPs, work instructions, and safety requirements


* Maintain clean, organized work areas and support 5S standards


* Communicate effectively to support production flow and problem-solving

What makes you a good candidate?


* High school diploma or equivalent


* Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn industrial equipment


* Ability to read/follow written instructions and safety procedures


* Basic math skills for weighing and measuring


* Strong attention to detail and reliability


* Basic Computer skills are needed.


* Ability to work independently or in a team environment


* Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days


* Ability to work overtime and work on-site in Chittenango, NY
