Sunnyvale Gardens Post Acute is seeking a skilled and reliable Dietary Cook to join our culinary team.

You will prepare nutritious, high-quality meals that meet the specific dietary needs of our residents in a healthcare setting.

Job Overview



* Pay Rate: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour


* Job Type: Part Time


* Schedule: 1:00 -7:30 PM


* Days: Varying days across the week with rotating weekend shifts


* Location: Sunnyvale Gardens Post Acute

Key Responsibilities



* Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and prescribed therapeutic diets.


* Ensure proper portion control and appealing food presentation for residents.


* Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards in the kitchen.


* Set up workstations and prepare ingredients for daily meal services.


* Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work areas throughout the shift.

Qualifications



* Experience: Required experience cooking in a healthcare environment (e.g., skilled nursing, assisted living, or hospital).


* Knowledge: Understanding of therapeutic diets, texture modifications, and food safety regulations.


* Skills: Ability to read recipes, manage time efficiently, and work in a fast-paced environment.


* Availability: Must be able to work the early morning shift (4:30 AM) and participate in the weekend rotation.


* Physical: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
