Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant supports the accounting team by owning core general ledger, treasury, and month-end close functions for Oakbridge.

This role is accountable for the accuracy and integrity of the companys financial records.

This is a remote, full-time position.

Work Performed: Month-End Close & General Ledger Assist in the month-end close process, including maintaining the monthly close checklist, preparing and recording general ledger journal entries in accordance with GAAP, and assisting in the preparation and review of monthly financial statementsPerform balance sheet account reconciliations, including intercompany, accrued expenses, and accounts payable accrual accountsOversee prepaid expense accounting, including recognition and amortization schedulesManage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposalsAdminister the companys lease accounting system and maintain compliance with lease accounting standards Treasury, Tax & Audit Oversee treasury operations, including serving as bank administrator, managing an outsourced treasury service provider, and reviewing monthly bank reconciliationsManage tax notices received, support requests from outside income tax providers, and assist with filings for other tax types as neededLead the external audit process, including preparing audit requests and coordinating deliverables across the accounting team Acquisition Accounting Prepare earnout calculations for acquired agenciesManage purchase accounting and prepare opening balance sheets for newly acquired agencies, including goodwill and intangible asset accounting and impairment testing Reporting, Analysis & Process Improvement Support accounting-related data warehouse functions and reporting needsIdentify and implement process improvements in close or reporting workflowsSupport ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned
