Your Role: Manufacturing Scientist/Quality Control Chemist Intern – Clinton, Indiana (Summer 2027) 

As a Summer 2027 Manufacturing Scientist/Quality Control Intern with Elanco Animal Health, you will be part of the Quality Control Lab team at our Clinton, Indiana manufacturing plant, to deliver a practical solution to reducing analytical variability, a technical project, or implementation of new lab methods.

Interns will have exposure to many career paths and diverse subject matter experts as many projects have site-wide impact. 

Your Responsibilities:  


* Understand the manufacturing process, document using GMP guidelines, and understand the importance of the Quality Unit  



* Work within cross-functional teams to implement process or Quality Control lab improvements  



* Learn about quality control, fermentation, product recovery, product finishing, or packaging  



* Study design improvement processes  

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications): 


* Education: Currently enrolled in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a similar major.  



* Top Skills: Experience in Microsoft Suites and a willingness to learn 

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications): 


* Strong communication and interpersonal skills  



* Strong organizational and time management skills  



* Must be able to work exceptionally well independently and with minimal supervision 

Additional Information:  


* Travel: 10% - to corporate facility in Indianapolis, IN for opening/closing 



* Location: Clinton Manufacturing Plant, Clinton, IN
