Weekend Group Therapist - ABH

Part-Time Weekend Group Therapist / RN Allendale Behavioral Health Fort Wayne, IN Employment Type: Part-Time Schedule: Saturdays and/or Sundays Position Overview Allendale Behavioral Health is seeking a qualified Group Therapist or Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time weekend position at our inpatient mental health and psychiatric treatment facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

This role supports adults receiving inpatient psychiatric and mental health care.

The successful candidate will help facilitate structured, therapeutic, and psychoeducational group programming while contributing to a safe, supportive environment focused on stabilization, coping skills, and recovery.

Applicants must either hold an eligible, fully independent Indiana clinical license or hold a current Indiana RN license.

Candidates don't need to possess both.

Candidates may be interested in working both Saturday and Sunday, Saturday only, or Sunday only, depending on availability and facility needs.

Responsibilities Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups addressing mental wellness, coping skills, emotional regulation, relationships, and recovery.

Encourage patient participation in structured programming and therapeutic activities.

Create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for patients.

Provide appropriate support and interventions within the scope of professional licensure and training.

Collaborate with nursing, clinical, and behavioral health staff to support continuity of care.

Observe and communicate relevant changes in patient behavior, mood, or overall well-being to the appropriate treatment team members.

Respond appropriately to patient concerns and follow established safety and crisis-response procedures.

Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Maintain professional boundaries and follow organizational policies, clinical standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: Clinical pathway: Hold a current, valid Indiana independent clinical license, such as LCAC, LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW.

Nursing pathway: Hold a current, valid Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Additional qualifications: Experience in mental health, psychiatric care, behavioral health, inpatient treatment, or group facilitation preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to engage patients professionally and compassionately.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Availability to work Saturdays, Sundays, or both, depending on the selected schedule.
