Legal Counsel, Region Americas

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Work Arrangement: Hybrid working model requiring a minimum of four days per week in the Atlanta office and the option to work remotely one day per week.

What You'll Do at Elekta

As Legal Counsel for Region Americas, you will play an important role in providing practical, business-focused legal support across a broad range of commercial and operational matters.

This position is designed as a foundational in-house counsel role, offering the opportunity to develop within a global legal function while working alongside experienced legal professionals in the medical device industry.

You will partner closely with business stakeholders and colleagues across Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, Sales, Procurement, and other functions to provide risk-based legal guidance that supports Elekta's business objectives while maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity.

Responsibilities


* Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice on a wide range of business matters, including commercial, corporate, procurement, and operational issues.


* Review, draft, negotiate, and manage a variety of agreements, including hardware sales, software licensing, professional services, development, vendor, and procurement contracts.


* Identify, assess, and communicate legal and business risks while helping stakeholders develop practical and commercially sound solutions.


* Partner closely with business teams to support strategic initiatives and day-to-day commercial activities.


* Collaborate with Compliance, Privacy, Regulatory Affairs, Intellectual Property, and other specialist functions to deliver comprehensive legal support.


* Support the management of customer disputes, claims, escalations, pre-litigation matters, and litigation, engaging external counsel when appropriate.
