Tax - Tax Consultant - Global Trade Technology - Summer 2027

Deloitte's Global Trade Advisory (GTA) practice helps importers and exporters improve trade compliance, increase process efficiency, and identify opportunities across global supply chains.

As part of a global network of professionals, the team supports clients in strengthening import and export operations across jurisdictions.

In this role, you will support the implementation of global trade technology and trade compliance data and analytics solutions while building client service experience across industries.

Work you'll do

As a Tax Consultant on the Global Trade Advisory Technology team, you will be responsible for:


* Assess client trade procedures and identify automation opportunities.


* Gather business and regulatory requirements and identify gaps in standard system capabilities.


* Configure global trade technology solutions that support import and export compliance.


* Partner with developers to build, test, document, and deploy system enhancements.


* Build data workflows and visualizations, and train client users on implemented solutions.

The team

Deloitte's Global Trade Advisory practice includes professionals with experience in global trade strategy, trade automation, export controls, and import and export compliance.

The team helps clients improve compliance processes and implement technology-enabled solutions that support global trade operations.

Qualifications

Required:


* Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Summer 2027 or have completed a bachelor's degree or higher in information technology, computer science, economics, engineering, mathematics, political science, international studies, supply chain, transportation/logistics, or statistics


* Strong academic track record (3.0 cumulative GPA required)


* You must reside within a commutable distance of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required , without the need for overnight accommodations .

You can expect to co-locate on average 2-3 times a week with variations based on types of work/projects and client locations


* Ability to travel up to 80%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve


* Limited immigration sponsorship may be available


* Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment
