Shop Foreman/Mechanic

Position Overview:
The Shop Foreman/Mechanic reports to the Equipment Manager and is responsible for overseeing the repair and maintenance of all equipment assets assigned.

The goal for the group is to provide safe and efficient services that maximize asset utilization and reduce downtime

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions);

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


* Provide proactive leadership that promotes the Safety Culture of the organization


* Requires PPE adherence in shop and in the field.


* Maintain good house-keeping within shop and all maintenance areas.


* Leads workers in electrical, electronic, mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment


* Conducts routine inspection and certification of equipment.


* Troubleshoot and maintain all equipment.


* Plan and directs R&M services with effective scheduling and coordination with Equipment Manager and production schedules.


* Utilize CMMS for Work Order Requests and PM service needs.


* Prioritize repairs based on need of asset, cost, and time of repair.


* Assign tasks based on mechanic skill and repair difficulty.


* Review and approve cost reporting on a daily basis.


* Utilize Infield to review and approve mechanic staff time and cost coding.


* Review and approve coding and cost of PO requests for parts, supplies, and services.


* Coordinates maintenance services to be provided by outside vendors, including warranties and service contracts


* Review performance metrics and shop and equipment financial reports with Equipment Manager.


* Understands and monitors performance goals and equipment scorecard metrics.


* Communicate and coordinate with Operations staff.
