Maintenance Technician

Summary The Maintenance Technician conducts daily inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities.

This position also involves responding to emergency calls concerning equipment, including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, identifying the root causes of problems, and handling repairs.

The role requires documenting daily activities and providing support for equipment modifications related to safety, new installations, or equipment improvements.

Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by fulfilling preventative maintenance requirements; adhere to diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications; diagnose malfunctions.

Use hand tools, levels, and other measuring devices to adjust the functional parts of devices.

Consistently follow quality guidelines.

Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during production hours; perform scheduled maintenance equipment repairs during production and non-production times.

Establish a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project.

Coordinate input from internal/external customers to better understand needs.

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs.

Diagnose problems; replace or repair parts; test and adjust.

Multi-task / Execute Tasks in JIT (Just-In-Time) Environment.

Participate in all TVS SCS quality and excellence initiatives.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment This job is performed in a busy warehouse environment with high forklift traffic.

Warehouses are subject to seasonal temperatures.

Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses and vests are required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required.
