Our Head Start and Early Head Start programs serve children and families across Durham and Orange Counties.

Their success depends on great people in every classroom and every office.

We're looking for a Recruiter to own hiring from start to finish.

You'll be a trusted partner to program leaders, bring in qualified teachers, family support staff and administrators, and help make FCR an employer of choice in our community.

What you'll do: Own your openings from intake to accepted offer.

Meet with hiring managers to set requirements, selection criteria and timelines, and advise them on what the market will realistically offer.Decide how to find the right people.

Choose the right sourcing approach for each role, whether job boards, social media, referrals, direct outreach or community partners.Build lasting pipelines.

Grow relationships with colleges, early childhood education programs, workforce agencies and community organizations, especially for hard-to-fill credentialed teaching roles.Evaluate and advise.

Screen candidates, check their credentials against the Head Start Program Performance Standards and state requirements, lead structured interviews, and recommend who to hire.Close the deal.

Recommend and negotiate offers within FCR's salary structure, and oversee background checks and other pre-employment requirements.Keep hiring fair and compliant.

Make sure every step meets employment law, EEO requirements and the Head Start Program Performance Standards.Use data to improve.

Track time-to-fill, where hires come from and how many offers are accepted, and recommend improvements to HR leadership.Represent FCR at job fairs and community events across our service area.
