Staff Accountant Summary/Objective The Staff Accountant must have a strong understanding of accounting principles.
You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance, managing job cost tracking, and supporting the company's financial objectives.
This position requires excellent attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

· General Ledger Maintenance: Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations, ensuring accurate financial data for month-end and year-end close processes.
· Accounts Payable: Manage and process report vendors, subcontractor payments.
· Accounts Receivable: Manage and process aging report, AIA, customer payments.
· Job Costing & Project Accounting: Track and report project costs, including labor, materials, and overhead.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate cost allocation, budget monitoring, and forecasting.
· Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, licensing requirements, and industry standards.
Assist with audits, both internal and external, by preparing necessary documentation.
· Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring accurate job cost allocations and compliance with labor laws.
· Vendor & Client Relations: Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve any billing or payment issues and ensure smooth financial operations.
Other Responsibilities • Support month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting packages.• Maintain organized accounting records and support document retention requirements.• Assist with preparation of financial schedules, management reports, and ad-hoc analysis as requested.• Support implementation and improvement of accounting processes, controls, and standard operating procedures.• Back up other Accounting team functions as needed (AP, AR, job costing, payroll support).
