Maintenance Planner
Purpose Support maintenance and reliability for a manufacturing operation.
Responsible for the planning, requisitioning of materials and services and coordination of future maintenance plans and projects.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain solid fundamental preventative and predictive schedules in the CMMS Collaborate with all departments to translate work requirements into clear achievable plans Work directly with maintenance and purchasing to plan and prioritize maintenance work Plans maintenance tasks as well as shutdowns and other project work Follows the planning process as outlined in the Reliability Playbook Prepares job plans for maintenance work in the mill, with safety instructions and special precautions Attend the Daily approval meeting and the weekly partner meeting Coordinates with purchasing to ensure parts availability Maintains maintenance and equipment records and generates reports; i.e.
open work orders, past due work orders, completed work orders, labor utilization by work order type, equipment historical cost analysis, etc Tracks availability of crew resources Provides job estimates as required Coordinates and prioritizes planning and maintenance work with production requirements Coordinate the PDM results, use results for planning of required maintenance Models company core values Required Qualifications 5+ years working in a manufacturing environment as a Millwright, Electrician, or other equivalent technical trade High school diploma or equivalent Demonstrated understanding of company safety policies and expectations Ability to read blueprints and some drafting PC operation and experience (Word, Access, Excel, Preventive Maintenance Systems, etc) Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently Excellent listening, written and verbal communications skills Ability to make decisions and maintain composure in high-pressure situations Ability to work in and maintain a highly functional team environment Willing to work anytime as required to meet mill needs including nights, weekends and holidays if necessary Must be willing to attend additional training with passing grades as required Preferred Qualifications Associates' degree in business, manufacturing, production or related field Maintenance background in both electrical and mechanical trades Previous experience with CMMS systems (currently EAM)
