Occupational Therapist Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist, you will:


* Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans


* Provide skilled occupational therapy services to improve function, mobility, and independence


* Assess activities of daily living (ADLs) and implement therapeutic interventions


* Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and families to optimize patient outcomes


* Educate residents and caregivers on treatment plans, adaptive equipment, and recovery strategies


* Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed


* Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and facility regulations


* Maintain compliance with all professional and ethical standards of practice

Qualifications
Required:


* Active California Occupational Therapist (OT) License


* Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program


* Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills


* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities


* Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team

Preferred:


* Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), post-acute, rehabilitation, or long-term care experience


* Experience working with geriatric populations
