Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU

Job Summary

Job Type: Full Time

Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

The NICU Registered Nurse provides professional, compassionate nursing care to neonates within our Level III NICU.

This role coordinates care planning with the multidisciplinary team and renders individualized, age-specific, and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs.

The RN systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to support optimal patient outcomes.



* Provide safe, evidence-based care to critically ill infants.


* Act as a clinical leader by assessing, planning, delegating, and using independent judgment to direct other healthcare team members.


* Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other disciplines to ensure coordinated patient care.


* Participate in hourly rounding and follow safety guidelines and best practices.


* Supervise and mentor other members of the healthcare team.



* Minimum Requirements
+ Experience: At least 1 year of current hospital-based acute care RN experience in a NICU.
+ Education: Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school.
+ Certifications:
o Current RN license in the State of Arizona (or compact license),
o CPR
o NRP (required upon orientation completion)
o ACLS as applicable by facility/department


* Preferred Requirements
+ Experience: At least 1 year of Level III NICU experience, including care of infants requiring conventional ventilators, HFOV, central lines, and therapeutic hypothermia.
+ Education: BSN
+ Certifications: Specialty certification a plus.
