Janitor - Kingsville Naval Air Station

TRDI is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team at Kingsville Naval Air Station.

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout government facilities, offices, restrooms, break areas, corridors, and other assigned spaces.

The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial janitorial services and possess strong floor care skills, including buffing, stripping, waxing, polishing, and maintaining various floor surfaces.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



* Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, conference rooms, break rooms, hallways, and common areas.


* Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and remove trash from assigned facilities.


* Perform floor maintenance, including stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, and polishing floors.


* Operate floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, scrubbers, and vacuums safely and effectively.


* Clean windows, walls, partitions, blinds, and other surfaces as required.


* Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies.


* Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of waste materials.


* Mix and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.


* Report maintenance and safety concerns to supervision.


* Maintain all assigned equipment and supplies in good working condition.


* Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:



* Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred.


* Knowledge and experience with floor care, including buffing and waxing, is required.


* Ability to operate floor maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.


* Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, materials, and chemicals.


* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


* Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.


* Valid driver's license preferred.


* Must be able to obtain and maintain any required security clearance or installation access credentials.

Physical Requirements:



* Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.


* Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the workday.


* Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions when required.
