A Brief Overview

Responsible for leading the design, development, and lifecycle management of host application software for medical devices using Qt/QML technologies.

This role focuses on delivering high-quality, user-centric graphical interfaces and seamlessly integrating front-end applications with backend systems to support device functionality.

The position requires strong technical expertise in UI development, software architecture, and system integration, along with a solid understanding of regulated software development processes.

The engineer ensures that all solutions meet applicable medical device standards and regulatory requirements while contributing to product quality, usability, and overall system performance.

What You Will Do


* Software Development:
+ Architecting Host Software (C++).
+ Lead design and development of real-time control system.
+ Design and Development of GUI (Qt/ QML, MFC or C#) system software host application.
+ Integrate QML front-end components with C++ backend logic and device communication layers
+ Provide design input for GUI of system software by capturing human factor and marketing requirements.
+ Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and risk assessments to ensure high-quality and compliant deliverables
+ Ensure FDA compliance of all software and potential Web-based applications.
+ Support legacy code and provide documentation for ongoing development.


* Software Testing:
+ Support verification and validation activities, including unit testing, system testing, and defect resolution
+ Develop unit tests for host application software
+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to UI performance, responsiveness, and system integration
+ Perform Static Code Analysis, Profiling, and Debugging on production software and tools


* Software Requirements:
+ Write Software requirements for host application and tools used to support the testing and manufacturing of the medical device


* Leadership:
+ Interface with and assist with training and task completion with new and or more junior employees and vendors
+ Provide technical leadership in UI development and Qt/QML best practices
+ Influences design decisions to ensure a safe, effective, and user-friendly product
