Lead Advanced Field Service Technician
Job Description
As Lead Advanced Field Service Technician at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our building automation systems.
The main function of this position is to respond and resolve complex service calls providing technical support and troubleshooting to Honeywell customers for our Building Automation and Fire Alarm/Detection Systems.
Additional responsibilities related to the technical delivery of small service jobs, time and work material, and preventive maintenance may be assigned as well.
These customers will have various products installed that fall into the - HVAC, automation controls, life safety, fire, and security systems category as well as their associated computer systems.
Your expertise is to ensure system up-time, sustainability, productivity and efficiency of our customers' facilities.
You will report directly to our Field Service Supervisor, and you will provide support for our customers at Fort Bragg, NC and surrounding areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Can independently troubleshoot and repair complex issues for Building Automation and Fire Alarm/Detection Systems.
* Install, configure, commission, and tune systems (Building Automation and Fire Alarm/Detection Systems) to meet customer specifications and job requirements.
* Interpret technical drawings, specifications and codes to support Building Automation and Fire Alarm/Detection system design, installation and integration.
* Program and conduct preventive maintenance on Honeywell servers and Enterprise Buildings Integrator (EBI) software.
* Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance of Building Automation and Fire Alarm/Detection Systems.
* Maintain accurate documentation and service records for compliance and reporting.
* Mentor junior technicians and support continuous improvement across the team.
* Travel to customer sites off post as needed, managing your own travel arrangements, site coordination, and reporting.
You will follow a Monday through Friday schedule.
You will be provided with a company vehicle to commute to training location, phone, laptop and expense card (for tools and PPE allowance).
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
* Minimum of 5 years experience installing, programming, maintaining and troubleshooting Honeywell Building Automation and Fire Alarm/Detection Systems.
* Minimum of 5 years experience using building codes, NFPA Fire codes, and industry standards.
* A valid driver's license (REAL ID)
* The ability to meet the background check requirements for federal projects and be able to obtain a Security Clearance due to contractual requirements.
* Minimum of 2 years Experience using CARE and Comfort Point programming software.
* Minimum of 2 years experience Experience working with open protocols (BACnet, Modbus, OPC, LON, etc.)
* Must be a US Citizen.
