ABOUT THE ROLE

Amrize, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Laborer to support operations at our Swampscott Quarry location in Swampscott, MA.

This position will be responsible for general labor duties at a quarry site, supporting the extraction, processing, and movement of aggregate materials while maintaining a safe work environment and assisting with equipment, cleanup, and daily operations.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

⦁ Assist with a wide range of physical tasks including lifting, carrying, digging, loading, and unloading materials.
⦁ Support Skilled Tradespeople
⦁ Clean and Prepare Job Sites, Clear debris, sweep, and set up or dismantle work areas to maintain a safe and organized job site.
⦁ Use shovels, drills, saws, and other tools under supervision to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
⦁ Adhere to workplace safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and report hazards or incidents promptly.
⦁ Load and Unload Materials and Equipment
⦁ Move and store construction materials, supplies, or machinery as directed by supervisors or foremen.
⦁ Perform Other Duties as Assigned

⦁ Strong listening skills and the ability to carry out verbal or written directions accurately.
⦁ Understanding and application of workplace safety rules and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
⦁ Teamwork and Communication Skills: Ability to work well with others in a team setting, maintain a positive attitude, and communicate effectively.
⦁ Reliable and Punctual Work Ethic: Consistent attendance, dependable performance, and a willingness to work flexible hours or overtime.
⦁ Basic Knowledge of Tools and Equipment: Familiarity with hand and power tools; ability to safely operate and maintain them as needed.
⦁ Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs), stand for long periods, bend, kneel, and perform physically demanding tasks.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
