Resource Transport is hiring a Master Diesel Technician for our Odessa, Texas shop someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, works safe, and thrives in a fast-paced Permian Basin fleet environment.This position offers the opportunity to work on a modern Kenworth fleet using advanced diagnostic technology and OEM training resources, keeping equipment running at peak performance in one of the most demanding operating environments in the country.

Position Summary The Master Diesel Technician performs advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on Kenworth tractors equipped with PACCAR MX engines and related systems.

This role serves as a technical leader in the shop mentoring technicians and making sure repairs are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently the first time.

Key Responsibilities: Perform advanced diagnostics on Kenworth tractors using Davie4 and OEM diagnostic software.Diagnose and repair PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 engines.Troubleshoot electrical, aftertreatment, emissions, fuel, cooling, and drivetrain systems.Perform engine overhauls, cylinder head repairs, and major component replacements.Diagnose and repair Eaton, Allison, and PACCAR transmission systems.Perform preventive maintenance inspections and identify potential failures before they cause downtime.Accurately document repairs, parts usage, and labor hours.Support and mentor apprentice and journeyman technicians.Ensure all repairs meet OEM specifications and company safety standards.Support DOT compliance and inspection readiness across the fleet.
