Make an Impact in the Justice System Join the Manitowoc County District Attorney's Office in a vital legal support role that helps keep criminal cases moving forward.

You'll work alongside attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to prepare court documents, coordinate case information, and help ensure cases are organized and ready for court.

This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working with confidential information--and who wants to play a meaningful role in supporting the administration of justice.

What You'll Do Prepare and draft a variety of court documents used in the prosecution of criminal cases, including adjournment requests and orders, writs of Habeas Corpus, subpoenas, letters, and other legal documents.

Assist with locating parties when court documents are returned unserved.

Help maintain the accurate and timely flow of case files in coordination with support staff and paralegals.

Communicate with federal and state agencies to obtain information and records needed for cases.

Verify and update contact information for defendants, witnesses, and other case participants.

Assist with obtaining records and other information essential to case preparation.

Coordinate meetings with witnesses and help manage witness scheduling for trials.

Reserve and cancel witnesses as needed for trial.

Prepare for hearings by locating and pulling appropriate case files.

Provide dependable administrative and case support to attorneys and the legal team.
