What Are We Looking For?

Intertek is seeking a certified Field & Laboratory Technician I-B to support both field and laboratory testing operations for construction materials projects throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

The ideal candidate will possess ACI Aggregate Testing Technician Level 1 and ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certifications and have experience performing testing on aggregates, concrete, soils, and related construction materials.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy a combination of hands-on field work and laboratory testing while contributing to transportation, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety and quality, and the ability to perform testing in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and client specifications.

What You'll Do

As a Field & Laboratory Technician I-B, you will perform a combination of field and laboratory testing on construction materials including concrete, aggregates, and soils.

Responsibilities include conducting concrete field testing such as slump, air content, temperature, and cylinder fabrication; performing aggregate testing in accordance with ACI, ASTM, and AASHTO standards; and supporting laboratory operations through testing procedures such as sieve analysis, moisture content determination, specific gravity testing, and other materials evaluations.
