Estate Groundskeeper

Job Title: Estate Groundskeeper Reports to: Property Manager Technical land management with hands-on property maintenance.

The Estate Groundskeeper is responsible for the year-round beauty functionality of the propertys outdoor spaces.

The hands-on role involves maintaining wooded trails, managing large fields, performing landscape work and executing minor repairs to ensure the estate remains in pristine condition.

Duties: Trail Management Maintain and clear hunting/walking trails for overgrowth, fallen brush, and debris.Conduct regular inspections for safety hazards and monitor the health of wooded areas.Perform thinning, pruning, and removal of damaged or unwanted trees/branches.

Field & Turf Care Mow and maintain large fields, meadows, and lawns using tractors and heavy-duty mowers.Perform edging, fertilizing and seasonal weed control.

Help maintain and monitor irrigation systems, fountains and ponds Minor Maintenance & Repair: Perform basic repairs on fences, gates, paths, and outbuildings.Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs on landscaping equipment and estate vehicles.

Coordinate with service vendors for additional vehicle maintenance and upkeep.

Help support seasonal events and venue preparations.

Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: Proven background in groundskeeping, landscaping, forestry or private estate service.Equipment operation: Proficiency in safety operating tractors, mowers, chains and various handheld tools.

Physical Fitness: Ability to perform demanding manual labor in all weather conditions including heavy lifting items and walking uneven terrain.

Soft skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and high level of discretion for private estate settings.

Certification: A valid drivers license is requiredCommercial drivers license, pesticide or fertilizer application licenses are a plus.
