Rental Technician (Full and Part-Time, Seasonal) - Winter 26/27
SUMMARY Safely fit skis and snowboards to customers and convey information to ensure proper use of the items.
A key part of every employee's job is to serve as a Targhee ambassador, engaging the guest at every opportunity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Safely fit skis, snowboards, boots and snowshoes to customers.Handle complaints from customers.Work as fast, yet as safely as possible during peak hours.Understands rental forms and waivers of liability.Must have knowledge of skis, snowboards, bindings and other related equipment.Inform guests of options/prices available for ski and snowboard rentals.Performs all ski and snowboard tuning functions.Maintains a positive and enthusiastic attitude.Cross trains to sell in other retail outlets.Performs daily audit.Understands resort liability as it pertains to rentals.Performs other duties as assigned by the PC leader and Retail Manager.Flexible working hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY: Protect the safety of self, workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests.Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Resorts Occupational Safety & Health Compliance Manual and department-specific procedures or manuals.Operate equipment safely so that it will not lead to injury to yourself or others.Drive in accordance with the law and Grand Targhee Resort policies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK SCHEDULE Due to the nature of the recreation industry, we are in operation seven days a week.
This includes weekends and holidays and there is no guarantee of hours.
Flexible working hours may be required based on the business levels.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous experience is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
