POSITION OVERVIEW The Psychometric Rater is responsible for administering and interpreting quantitative and qualitative tests to measure neurological and psychological variables related to various diseases.
Team Members in this role are responsible for managing the psychometric rating aspects of clinical trials, following study-specific protocol requirements, and communicating with clinical staff, study sponsors, and patients to perform these important tests, the results of which often determine patient eligibility in clinical trials and/or serve as the primary endpoint of those clinical trials.
RESPONSIBILITIES Meet with patients and caregivers, conduct a variety of cognitive psychometric rating scales for clinical trials, and calculate and utilize ratings scale results as appropriate to determine protocol eligibility.Actively works to maintain consistency and efficacy in the performance of ratings; improves rating accuracy and performance through continued education, collaboration with team, and implementation of feedback.Calmly and professionally manage conversations with patients who become upset or frustrated during the rating process, while simultaneously collecting accurate data.Ensure patient safety by responding appropriately to any potential for harm to self or others that is identified through the evaluations performed.Maintain source documentation in accordance with ALCOA-C standards and complete all monitor and sponsor queries in a timely manner.Effectively communicates issues related to ratings with the clinical team, sponsor, CRO, monitors, auditors, and /or central ratings groups.Identify potential problems or inconsistencies and collaborate with others to take action as appropriate.Maintain a One Team approach to trial success.
To maintain healthy patient flow and ensure the success of all trials, team members may be temporarily reassigned to patient engagement or clinic responsibilities, as appropriate.
This flexibility is essential to meeting our contractual obligations and ensuring a seamless experience for all trial participants.Perform additional duties as assigned.
