Construction Safety Managers (Field Based)

ERM is hiring Safety Managers (day shift & night shift) onsite at a key technology clients Data Center construction project in Waddell, Arizona.  In this critical role, you will be responsible for establishing, implementing, managing, and continuously improving the safety programs.

The Safety Manager will have broad knowledge of Safety compliance programs and, where required, Safety specialty areas.

 This is a tactical role for site-wide Safety systems, Safety regulations, and best practices.

This is a full-time (40+ hours a week), limited-term role for a duration of 3 months, extendable.

RESPONBILITIES:


* Site Specific Safety Plan and Safety Audits


* Develop site-specific safety plans for various projects alongside the project teams; ensure subcontractors and vendors submit required safety documentation and implement their safety plans and comply with client's safety standards


* Ensure safety boards, equipment and site-specific materials are supplied at each site.


* Oversee job site safety audits and inspections, ensuring corrective safety observations and violations are documented and corrected immediately.


* Facilitate incident investigations and root cause analyses and communicate findings to all of client’s employees.


* Represent client in matters relating to OSHA site visits and inspections.

Technical Expertise and Documentation


* Conduct data analyses, identify trends, recommend corrective actions, and provide updates to client Leadership Team.


* Create and distribute project specific safety performance reports to all Project Managers and Superintendents monthly.


* Ensure accurate documentation of safety plans, procedures, violations, and corrective action.

Leadership


* Support Site Safety Coordinators.


* Provide advice and guidance on safe work practices.


* Foster and promote a company-wide healthy safety culture.


* Champion a strong safety culture across the site and maximize personnel involvement in Safety related activities.


* Provide timely, high quality safety technical support.


* Carry out regular workplace inspections to monitor compliance with site rules, procedures, etc.


* Coordinate the completion of job safety analyses, risk assessments and pre-task plans.


* Prepare and submit local, state, and internal reports as needed.


* Review and track investigations of injuries, illnesses, environmental releases, non-injury accidents and near-misses to ensure that they are effective, and that they identify and resolve root causes.

Lead investigations into serious adverse events.

Monitor and analyze safety performance and initiate action to support or correct trends.


* Coordinate local business continuity, emergency response, and crisis management plans.

Develop and test the plans.

REQUIREMENTS:


* Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, engineering, or related degree is preferred.
