A-1 is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrician or Millwright to join our maintenance team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within our industrial plant.
This role is crucial to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all plant manufacturing machinery and infrastructure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Under general supervision, perform skilled work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic systems, wiring, fixtures, apparatus, control equipment, and perform related work as required.
* Determine the existence of electrical hazards and problems.
Safely isolate, ground, and prepare circuits and electrical apparatus to enable repairs.
* Have knowledge of and use the required personal protective equipment to protect against arc flash and shock.
* Troubleshoot and maintain motor control centers, motor start circuits, control loops, generators, high voltage switchgear, protective relaying, and related equipment.
* Install electrical conduit, pull, and terminate wiring.
* Ability to use electrical/electronic testing equipment to such as multi-meters, ammeters, meg-ohm meters, high potential testers, oscilloscopes, or digital probes to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
* Use hand and power tools related to the electrical trades.
* Install and maintain control and distribution equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, and control panels.
* Install and maintain drive systems such as variable frequency drives, eddy current, and DC drives.
Install and maintain programmable logic control systems (PLC).
* Interpret and/or modify PLC control logic as necessary.
Install and calibrate pressure, temperature, flow, and level controls.
* Observe installed systems to detect hazards and determine the need for adjustments or modifications.
* Design layout work on panels, set up complex control systems, interpret and alter engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
