Diablo Valley Post Acute is looking for dependable, hardworking, and compassionate Dietary Aides to join our Dietary Services team.

As a Dietary Aide, you'll play an important role in providing nutritious meals and creating a positive dining experience for our residents while helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen.

Essential Responsibilities


* Assist with meal preparation, tray set-up, and meal service for residents.


* Prepare and serve snacks and nourishments as assigned.


* Collect, strip, and wash returned meal trays and dishes.


* Safely operate the commercial dishwasher and monitor water temperature and sanitizer levels.


* Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and dining areas.


* Sweep and mop floors, clean work surfaces, refrigerators, and food preparation areas.


* Properly store food and supplies following sanitation and safety guidelines.


* Remove trash and maintain cleanliness throughout the dietary department.


* Work collaboratively with dietary staff and other departments to provide excellent resident service.


* Participate in orientation and ongoing in-service training as assigned.

Qualifications


* Previous dietary, food service, or restaurant experience is helpful but not required.


* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


* Strong communication and teamwork skills.


* Reliable, dependable, and eager to learn.


* Commitment to providing excellent customer service and resident care.
