PRN Cook

Cook (PRN)

Pay: $19.00/hour
Schedule: As Needed

We are looking for a dependable Cook (PRN) to join our team.

In this role, you will prepare quality meals for residents while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen.

You may also step in to support kitchen operations in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
Responsibilities


* Prepare and serve meals according to menus and portion guidelines


* Follow all food safety and sanitation standards


* Prepare special and modified diets, including pureed foods


* Record food temperatures and maintain kitchen logs


* Assist with meal service and kitchen clean-up


* Work effectively with team members across departments

Qualifications


* High school diploma or equivalent


* 1+ year cooking experience (healthcare or long-term care preferred)


* Ability to follow recipes and dietary requirements


* ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)

Physical Requirements


* Ability to stand for extended periods


* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
