Verify and maintain records of incoming shipments, and route to processing areas.

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus six months distribution/service center experience and six months order filler experience; or combination of relevant education and experience.


* Minimum 18 years of age


* Ability to pass drug test


* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


* Ability to work weekends, work any shift, and overtime


* Accuracy/attention to detail


* Ability to organize/prioritize variety of tasks/projects


* Knowledge of standard product packaging and the ability to identify discrepancies


* Familiarity with distribution center receiving terms and processes


* Ability to operate a forklift, and pallet jack


* Fred Meyer lift truck certification/license

Desired


* Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and organizational structure


* Six months company distribution/service center experience



* Examine incoming shipments; reject damaged items; record shortages; correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages


* Match merchandise and quantities to purchase orders


* Receive merchandise using handheld units and route to processing areas


* Operate lift truck


* Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
