Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis.

Under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will provide therapeutic interventions that help residents improve function, independence, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities


* Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the Occupational Therapist


* Follow physician orders and individualized treatment plans


* Document daily treatment notes, progress notes, and other required therapy records


* Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team


* Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education


* Train restorative aides and collaborate with nursing staff as needed


* Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning


* Maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas


* Report equipment issues and safety concerns promptly


* Ensure compliance with state practice acts, facility policies, and regulatory requirements


* Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and team members

Qualifications


* Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program


* Current South Carolina COTA license in good standing


* Must maintain all required continuing education requirements


* Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred


* Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred


* Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
