Dismantles, repairs, assembles, installs and sets up technical equipment and machines used in a production site.

Job Description Summary

The Production Technician's responsibilities include:
1.

Perform a wide variety of routine manufacturing functions.
2.

Ability to use micrometer to measure thickness of material.
3.

Ability to operate manual manufacturing machine (Rolling press, SMG cutting press) to produce product.
4.

Ability to trouble shoot automated press to continue producing product.
5.

Ability to use hand tools (wrench, pliers, screwdrivers etc.) to assemble product.

Requirements:


* HS diploma or equivalent required.


* Ability to read, interpret and follow prints, diagrams, written and oral work instructions and other written documentation relevant to production.


* Good working knowledge of measure units American standards and metric.


* Assemble, test, and pack product using variety of hand tools, pneumatic drivers and computerized equipment.


* Perform in process checks to ensure accuracy of work.

Must have good eye for detail.


* Complete production on time.


* Maintain a clean and safe work area.


* Ability to read and use measuring tools.

(Micrometers, calipers)


* Self-starter must be able to work on your own with limited supervision and have good communication skills.

Preferences:


* Milling experience a plus.


* Must be computer literate, knowledgeable in word and e-mails for general communications.


* 1 to 3 years' experience in area of responsibility.

THIS POSITION IS SECOND SHIFT - 2:30PM TO 11PM - MONDAY TO FRIDAY - WITH OCCASIONAL OVERTIME.

Training takes place on FIRST SHIFT - 6am to 2:30 pm - for approximately the first four to six weeks.
