At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring.

Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections,  where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally.

This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come.

Join Roche, where every voice matters.

The Position

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Fellow (m/f/d) to join our Discovery Sciences team.

In this role you will be at the forefront of Science, developing a system to investigate molecular rules of immune recognition, particularly TCR/pMHC interactions, to ultimately develop predictive models of TCR/pMHC specificity.

Your responsibilities will encompass the design, execution, and analysis of wet-lab experiments focused on investigating the molecular determinants of TCR-pMHC recognition, as well as the implementation of single cell sequencing experiments.

This position is embedded within the Discovery Sciences Chapter at Roche Diagnostics GmbH.

As part of the In Silico Biomarker and Technology Subchapter, you will join a high-impact team of researchers dedicated to pioneering next-generation diagnostic solutions.

Our culture is defined by trust, transparency, and a strong collaborative spirit.

We are looking for a proactive colleague who balances independent critical thinking with team spirit and the flexibility to collaborate across diverse departments and interdisciplinary teams.

Your tasks

* Independently develop and refine a platform for sequencing pMHC-specific TCRs, including T-cell stimulation and culture protocols.

* Design pMHC libraries and generate necessary plasmids/vectors; optimize viral titers and transduction yields for transient transfection and stable cell line generation.

* Perform rigorous quality control using fundamental assays such as ELISA, qPCR, and flow cytometry.

* Implement and execute high-throughput sequencing of immune repertoires and analyze/support analysis of complex experimental and bioinformatic datasets.

* Partner with bioinformatics, assay development, and sequencing teams to ensure the system’s applicability for Diagnostic platforms.

* Drive interdisciplinary meetings to share data, leverage expertise across functions, and contribute to the broader Diagnostics strategy.

* Document findings for patent filings and present research in stakeholder meetings, scientific journals, and international conferences.

Your profile

* You have successfully completed a PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a related field with 3+ years of research experience and a strong track record of peer-reviewed publications.

* You have deep expertise in T cell immunology and cellular and molecular laboratory techniques, such as cell line and primary cell culture, transi...
