Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team.

As a senior member of our team, you will work in a schedule-driven, collaborative environment, working closely with our clients and reporting to the Mechanical Team Lead.

This position will be located in Ferndale, WA or Salt Lake City, UT.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Eichleay, your strong proficiency in process piping, fixed equipment, and working knowledge of rotating equipment will be key to your success.

In this role, you will independently evaluate, select, and adapt engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

You will also provide technical direction and quality review for mechanical deliverables while supporting project planning, execution, and coordination with clients, vendors, construction personnel, and other engineering disciplines.

Compensation: $115,000-145,000

*anticipated annual salary may vary based on skills, experience, qualifications and internal peer equity.  The pay range listed for this position is based on the anticipated base compensation at the time of the posting. 

Work Arrangement: For candidates in the Washington area, hybrid in local Ferndale office Tuesday through Thursday, Monday and Friday from home.

Candidates in the SLC, Utah area will primarily work remotely from home.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead a team of mechanical engineers for refinery and industrial clients, and perform lead tasks including scope development, design execution, quality review, and construction support.


* Assure all mechanical engineering designs meet applicable codes and standards including company standards, API, ASME, NBIC, and other requirements used in static and rotating equipment mechanical design and development.


* Perform and review code calculations for ASME B31.1/B31.3, ASME BPVC Sec I and Sec VIII, and other applicable mechanical design requirements.


* Prepare and review mechanical equipment descriptions, equipment sizing calculations, equipment data sheets, and other technical documentation.


* Prepare, assemble, and review equipment and piping technical specification packages for vendor quotes and bid requests.


* Lead technical bid evaluations and review vendor drawings, calculations, and documentation for technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
