Instrumentation & Controls Designer

We are seeking an Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Designer with experience in Instrumentation and Controls design for Refinery and Oil and Gas Industries.

The I&C Design position calls for a candidate with experience in I&C design principles and practices.

The position involves contributing to both single-discipline and multi-disciplinary projects, collaborating closely with senior designers and / or engineers.

The position requires the candidate to work independently but occasionally will work under senior I&C design lead supervision.

Responsibilities also include preparing scopes of work, budgets, and providing input to project schedules.

Compensation: $42.00 - $50.00/hour

*Anticipated hourly rate may vary based on skills, experience, qualifications and internal peer equity.  The pay range listed for this position is based on the anticipated base compensation at the time of the posting. 

Work Arrangement: 3 days onsite in Ferndale, WA, 2 days remote

*option to work from home Monday and Friday.

Every other Friday off.

* Perform job walks, site visits, assisting with scope development and supporting IFC (construction) package completion.


* Respond to construction requests for information (RFIs).


* Support project construction, commissioning and start-up as well as client site turnaround activities as required.


* Attend and participate in Client and Eichleay project team meetings when required.


* Effectively interact with all levels of employees and clients.


* Willingness to follow directions and guidance from senior Design and Engineering staff.


* Maintain schedule and budget commitments.
