Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Assistant to support the daily operation and upkeep of our facility.

In this role, you will help ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities


* Assist with the maintenance, repair, and general upkeep of the facility and surrounding grounds.


* Perform basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and mechanical systems.


* Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure a safe and functional environment.


* Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from residents and team members.


* Maintain maintenance equipment, tools, and supplies in good working order.


* Assist with room turnovers, furniture assembly, and facility improvement projects.


* Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations.


* Help maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workplace.


* Participate in emergency preparedness initiatives and facility safety programs.

Qualifications


* Previous maintenance experience in a healthcare facility, skilled nursing center, post-acute setting, apartment community, hotel, or commercial property preferred.


* Working knowledge of general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.


* Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.


* Strong troubleshooting, repair, and problem-solving skills.


* Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.


* Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as needed.


* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


* Valid California driver's license preferred.
