Global Research - Industry & Policy Thematics Research - Associate

Job responsibilities


* Drive research analysis on one of the IPT themes (Defense & Aerospace, Advanced Manufacturing, Materials & Energy, Frontier Technologies, Economic Competition and Policy, Sustainability, and Development Finance) and produce regular research and deep-dive reports


* Discern and analyze fundamental drivers of IPT industries


* Produce and maintain quantitative indicators tracking progress or lack thereof of IPT industries development


* Project thematic developments and provide actionable insights to stakeholders


* Collaborate with different lines of research and different business lines across the bank to leverage IPT research


* Communicate findings through business writing and presentations for research publications


* Maintain external relationships and contribute to internal and external client engagements

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* 1-5 years' experience in data analysis


* Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative analysis


* Solid written and oral communication skills


* Experience with business writing and communication for research publications


* Intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, and team player mentality


* Adaptability and ability to work well under pressure in a deadline-driven environment

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Experience in the financial services industry or IPT-related industry research organization


* Experience collaborating across regions and teams


* Ability to organize and lead investor events and maintain external relationships


* Experience producing research for diverse audiences
