Role Overview:
Provide drafting and design support by creating component models, assemblies, and drawings that exhibit the detail and method of assembly for a variety of mechanical and electrical devices. Maintain ERP and related data according to Bray standard practices. Check and/or approve work of team members for accuracy. Provide guidance to designers & drafters to ensure execution of Bray standard practices is being met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead design and drafting activities.
* Provide continual guidance and support to designers & drafters.
* Check and/or approve work of team members for accuracy prior to release.
* Consult technical handbooks to ensure all work meets specified requirements.
* Resolve design problems.
* Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
* Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical and electrical devices using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) software.
* Create and store drawings electronically.
* Coordinate with and consult team members to design, layout, or detail components and systems and to resolve design problems.
* Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or assemblies.
* Layout and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, and systems.
