Controls Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on Controls Engineer to support the design, drafting, and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems for Modular Data Center solutions.

This role contributes across the project lifecycle-developing build-ready documentation, supporting integration, and resolving real-world issues during production, testing, and commissioning.

Success requires strong attention to detail, practical problem-solving, and the ability to translate design intent into accurate deliverables.

What will you do?


* Design, review, and troubleshoot electrical and control systems in alignment with customer requirements and project scope


* Develop and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, and controls documentation


* Support multi-vendor system integration (sensors, communications, redundancy requirements)


* Ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and internal engineering processes


* Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs)


* Participate in design reviews and customer meetings


* Maintain revision control and document design changes


* Provide hands-on support to manufacturing, testing, and commissioning teams


* Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned


* Travel up to 15% as needed

What qualifications will make you successful?


* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET preferred)


* 3+ years of experience in controls and electrical system design (data center, industrial, or mission-critical preferred)


* Experience with LV/MV power distribution controls and industrial control panels (UL508A, UL2755 familiarity)


* Knowledge of ATS schemes, HVAC controls, BMS, and EPMS integration


* Proficiency with tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, Revit, EPLAN, or similar


* Strong understanding of NEC, protection schemes, and communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, TCP/IP, DNP3)


* Ability to read, develop, and modify electrical schematics and ladder logic


* Strong communication and collaboration skills

For this U.S.

based position, the expected compensation range is $86,400 - $129,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States.

Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level.

Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
