Position: Full-Time Laundry Aide
Location: Diablo Valley Post Acute
Shift: PM Shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay: $19 per hour

General Purpose:
As a Laundry Aide at Diablo Valley Post Acute, you will perform a variety of general laundry and housekeeping duties to provide high-quality laundry services and maintain a sanitary environment free from offensive odors for our nursing home residents.

Essential Duties:



* Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens is available for the care and comfort of all residents.


* Maintain all linen in good repair, removing any items with holes and/or stains from service.


* Collect laundry from residents on a daily basis or as needed.


* Label clothing items for new residents as required.


* Sort, treat, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens.


* Deliver clean laundry items to residents' rooms.


* Follow all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties.


* Maintain an inventory of laundry supplies.


* Use all laundry equipment and supplies safely and responsibly.


* Report any laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.

Qualifications:



* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


* Previous laundry experience in a healthcare or similar setting is a plus, but not required.


* Ability to work collaboratively within a team.


* Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation.
